Product Information - CT3000 - Non-Invasive Urodynamics
The CT3000 diagnoses Bladder Outlet Obstruction in men non-invasively using a penile cuff. Clinical studies have shown that around 90% of men diagnosed as obstructed using the CT3000 have a clinically successful outcome from TURP.
Typically men are put forward for TURP based on symptoms and flow rate alone. It is true that there is a 90% ppv that if a patient has a flow rate of less than 10 ml/s they are obstructed and yet only 70% of TURP's carried out in the UK are clinically successful.
By measuring bladder contractility, the CT3000 can categorise patients that are less likely to have a good outcome from surgery and provide more confidence on those patients that will.
