Quadruple IV Peripheral Connectors
The Mediplus Quadruple connectors are probably the most flexible available on the market. With their 4 lumens protected by either anti-siphon, anti-reflux or needlefree valves, the Quadruple connectors can be used for all applications requiring multiple IV peripheral access such as obstetrics, intensive care and orthopaedics.
The main features are:
- Non-return valves to prevent backflow / reflux of drugs and free-flow (anti-siphon), high-flow anti-reflux valve for a flow of up to 250ml/min, needlefree valve for clean and easy access using needleless syringes (QuadroPort)
- J loop to prevent kinking / occlusion of the tubing
- Removable bridge to give more flexibility when moving/transferring the patient
- Quad connector enables a thorough mixing of the drugs before they enter the IV cannula
- RED end caps at all connections comply with the UK Department of Healthguidelines issued following Project Orcadian which reported on incidents with clear end caps and patient breathing circuits. See http://www.dh.gov.uk for more information.

- Non return valves at all ports to prevent backflow / reflux of drugs (anti-reflux valve) and free-flow (anti-siphon valves)

Product Information - Triple IV Peripheral Connectors
Triple IV Peripheral Connectors
To facilitate the delivery of fluids during labour, obstetric anaesthetists from Coventry designed a triple IV peripheral connector with a central high-flow anti-reflux valve. This connector, now rightly known as the Coventry valve, can be used for all theatre settings and is especially useful in obstetrics, ICU, HDU and orthopaedics.
Another triple IV peripheral connector available is the 3-Port. This has the same configuration as the Coventry valve with the added benefit of being non-PVC.
The main features are:
- Non-return valves at all ports to prevent backflow / reflux of drugs and free-flow (anti-siphon)
- High-flow anti-reflux valve (Coventry connector) for a flow up to 250ml/min
- J loop to prevent kinking / occlusion of the tubing
- Removable bridge to give more flexibility when moving/transferring the patient
- Compact product aids patient comfort, is easy to affix and unlikely to dislodge
- Triple connector for a thorough mixing of the drugs before they enter the IV cannula
- RED end caps at all connections comply with the UK Department of Health guidelines issued following Project Orcadian which reported on incidents with clear end caps and patient breathing circuits. See http://www.dh.gov.uk for more information.

Product Information - Obstetric IV Peripheral Connectors
Obstetric IV Peripheral Connectors
Routine induced labour requires the delivery of Syntocinon. The safest way to administer this is to use a syringe-pump connected to a peripheral access secured by an anti-siphon valve. This will prevent free-flow, eliminating the possibility of foetal distress. The Chalfont obstetric IV peripheral connector set is a “Y” connector designed to facilitate this procedure.
The main features are:
- Non return valves at all ports to prevent backflow / reflux of drugs (anti-reflux valve) and free-flow (anti-siphon valves)
- J loop to prevent kinking / occlusion of the tubing
- Removable bridge to give more flexibility when moving/transferring the patient
- Compact product aids patient comfort, is easy to affix and unlikely to dislodge
- Y connector for a thorough mixing of the drugs before they enter the IV cannula
- RED end caps at all connections comply with the UK Department of Health guidelines issued following Project Orcadian which reported on incidents with clear end caps and patient breathing circuits. See http://www.dh.gov.uk for more information.
