Single-Use Catheters for GI Manometry
Mediplus single-use gastrointestinal manometry catheters are ideal for all types of water-perfused manometry of the GI tract.
The range comprises single-channel, four-channel, eight-channel and 16-channel variants in external diameter sizes of 2.3mm, 3.2mm, 3.9mm, 4.5mm, 4.7mm and 4.9mm with a wide range of perfusion port configurations. All multi-lumen catheters have radiopaque markers at every eye (perfusion port) and black lines marked every centimetre to 85cm starting 1cm from the lumen nearest to the catheter tip.
These products are supplied clean, non-sterile.
Designed and priced for single-use - to remove risk of cross-infection, e.g. with Helicobacter Pylori, and exposure of staff to toxic chemicals used in cleaning reusable catheters, they offer the following benefits:
- Small 2.3mm bore catheter - unique to Mediplus
- Multiple-channel measurement for a greater range of measurements possible than with microtips
- Transparent tubing, so that any air bubbles in the line will be visible
- Winged luer locks for secure connection to transducers
- Numbered centimetre markings for easy measurement
- Co-extruded stripe to locate channel one (except on anorectal catheter code 2304)

Mediplus Soft Oesophageal GI Catheter

Mediplus Soft Oesophageal manometry catheters provide major benefits for both patients and user. The unique softer material formulation ensures easier intubation and unlike silicone the surface characteristics of our catheter material does not snag (catch) on gloves. The catheter is soft yet not flaccid, so there is no need for an introducer or stiffener. This could provide the Clinician with the facility of intubation without the need for an assistant in attendance.

The small outer diameter of only 2.3mm makes this catheter ideal for small patients.
Mediplus Oesophageal Distension Catheter

The small 3.9mm external diameter of the nine-lumen catheter allows for ease of intubation, whilst ensuring accurate pressure readings. A 20ml balloon can be inflated quickly and comfortably with the catheter in situ.
